Secure medical devices are an important element of protecting availability of healthcare, privacy of patient data, with increasing implications on overall patient safety. In this talk we will cover how a medical device manufacturer can address these risks within the design of a medical device, and how medical device design and development practices can be aligned with Health Delivery Organization security risk management. What are the basics? What are some of the more advanced techniques? What are the real risks? This talk will help answer these questions, and ultimately address how we can best serve patients through a collaborative, systemic approach to security.
