Early in 2014 several members of our Scientific Advisory Board, who had never met, began suggesting that we develop some programs about the human microbiome. With researchers' increasing interest and understanding of its workings and impact it is more important than ever to share knowledge and explore diverse scientists' perspectives. By working together and inviting in expert colleagues from academia, industry, and suppliers, this growing team has accomplished quite a bit:
